Chios, which is also spelled as Chios is a crescent-shaped island in the Aegean Sea which lies very close to Turkey. This island is the fifth biggest island in Greece with scenic mountains and lush vegetations with industries include agriculture specifically the cultivation of mastic as well as commercial shipping. Most of all, Chios Island is believed to be the birthplace of the greatest Greek ancient writer – Homer.
The hills and coastal areas of this island are adorned with houses and buildings of impressive Greek architecture and you can be more impressed with its beauty if you view this from a yacht. If you choose to anchor and moor, the main harbour in Chios Town is very able to provide space even for chartered yachts. If you are on the road to adventure, you can sail to the natural harbour of Limenas in the south.
